The Explorer

The Explorer is a story of a boy who dreams of being an astronaut and exploring space. There are two realities or "spaces" at play... the real world and the world of the boy's imagination.

This vertical platformer style short game is a submission for GBJam 11.

The Explorer was developed in GB Studio.  Download the rom file to play with any GB emulation software or on original hardware.

B (X or J) = run  

A (Z or K) = jump

Directional Pad or WASD = move

ROCKET BOOSTER: Tap "A" repeatedly when a rocket is picked up to use boosters for a short while.

WALL JUMP:  Pressing into the wall and tapping "A" will jump off of it.

v1.15 is a little more refined from the game jam version.  More level details and sound effects were added.  Also, it was changed to a GBC project which really helped the slow down issues.

v1.21 added a timer
